Koyla Ethnic Cuisine

We are Koyla Ethnic Cuisine, and you can find us way up on the rooftop of Kamal Mansion. Our address is on N A Azmi Marg in Colaba, right next to the Radio Club. Being on a rooftop in Mumbai means we deal with the wind and the rain more than most places, but the view of the city is something we’ve grown fond of. We are not a fancy corporate chain with a lot of polished rules. It’s just us, a small group of workers, trying to run a decent kitchen every day. We spend a lot of time hauling supplies up to the roof and making sure the seating area is tidy. It is a bit of a trek up here, but people seem to find their way eventually. The neighborhood is always active since we are so close to the club and the water. We start our prep work while the sun is still out, getting everything chopped and ready before the evening rush begins. We do not use any big marketing words or make promises we cannot keep. We just cook the food we know how to make and hope the plates come back empty. It is honest work and it keeps us very busy. If you are near the Radio Club and look up, you will see where we are in 400005. Most of us have been working here for years and we like the routine.
