Kk Art School

Kk Art School is located in Building No 10 at the New Mmrda Colony. This is over in the Chembur Colony area, specifically the east side. We have been in this building for a bit now. It is a basic room with large windows that let in a lot of light, which is good for painting. We have rows of tables and some stools for the students. It is not just for kids, we have some older people who come by in the evenings too. The walls are pretty much covered in paint splatters and old sketches that nobody ever picked up. We don't follow a strict syllabus or anything like that. People just come in and we show them how to use charcoal or watercolors. Sometimes it gets a bit messy, especially when we do clay work, but we just mop it up later. We don't have a secretary or anyone at a front desk. If you want to join, you just walk in and talk to whoever is holding a brush. We keep our supplies in some old metal cabinets. Some of the brushes are a bit frayed, but they still work fine for learning. It is a relaxed place. We often have the radio playing softly while everyone works. It is just a nice way to spend a couple of hours in the afternoon away from the noise. We are not professional artists, just people who like to draw.
