Kisna Dance Academy

We are based in Khar West, right on the 7th Main in HAL 2nd Stage. Our academy is inside the Blue He building, up on the 4th floor in Flat No 20. It used to be a regular apartment before we cleared out the furniture and put in the dance floor. It’s not the biggest space in the world, but it works fine when the music starts playing. We have some mirrors that we put up ourselves and a small sound system in the corner. Sometimes the neighbors in the building complain if the music is too loud, so we try to be careful with the volume in the evenings. The walk up to the 4th floor can be a bit of a workout if the lift is acting up, which happens more often than we’d like. We mostly teach local kids from around Khar and some adults who want to move a bit after work. It’s a very informal place. We don’t have a fancy front desk or a waiting lounge with magazines. Parents usually just stand in the hallway or sit on the floor while they wait for their kids. There’s a lot of laughter and some missed steps, but that’s just how it is. We keep our schedules taped to the back of the door. It’s just a simple flat where people come to dance and forget about things for an hour or two. We’ve been here at Blue He for a while now and we like it.
