Kirti Emporium

Kirti Emporium sits at 9 Sharda Bhuvan in the 3rd Block of Kandivali West. We are right on 41st Cross, which is a spot a lot of people pass through every day. The shop is full of fabrics and different kinds of clothing materials. It can get a bit overwhelming with all the colors and rolls of cloth piled up, but we know where everything is. Usually, there is a bit of a breeze coming through the front door, which is nice because Kandivali gets pretty hot in the afternoons. We spend our time helping folks pick out something for a suit or a dress. It’s not a fancy boutique with bright lights; it’s more of a place where you can sit on a stool and look at the textures of the cloth properly. The building itself, Sharda Bhuvan, has been around for a while and everyone in the block knows each other. We hear the kids playing outside and the scooters zooming past all the time. Sometimes the shipments arrive late and we have to stay after hours to move the heavy bundles inside. It’s hard work, but it’s what we’ve always done. We don't do much advertising; people just walk in because they saw something in the window or their mother told them about us. We just keep the doors open and try to be helpful when someone is looking for a specific shade of blue or a certain pattern that they have in their head for a special occasion.
