Khoob Saree

Our shop, Khoob Saree, is up on the second floor of the Kalpataru Classic Building. The address is 203, and the building is located on Chincholi Bunder Road in Malad West. It’s a bit of a climb if you aren't used to it, but the building is well-known around here. Malad West is a big area and Chincholi Bunder Road always has something going on. We chose this building because it felt solid and it’s in a part of town where people are always shopping for clothes and fabrics. Being on the second floor means we don't get as much street noise as the shops downstairs, which is nice when we are trying to focus. We have piles of stock around most of the time because space is always tight. The light in the afternoon comes through the windows and hits the floor. We spend most of our hours here sorting through things and making sure everything is in its place. It’s a bit tucked away, so people usually come looking for us specifically rather than just wandering in. We have lived and worked in Malad for a long time, so we know the shortcuts and the best places to grab tea nearby. The Kalpataru Classic Building has other offices too, so there is a mix of people coming and going. It feels like a little community inside the walls. We just keep doing what we do at Khoob Saree, day after day. We’ve been here since the building was newer, and we are quite comfortable.
