Kandivali East has become very crowded lately. Our office is in the Whispering Palms Shopping Centre, specifically at number 7. It is a small shop really. We have a desk, a couple of chairs, and a telephone that never stops ringing. Being in a shopping center is handy because people come for their groceries and then stop by to ask about property rates. We see a lot of young couples looking for their first apartment in the high-rise buildings nearby. We have lived in this part of Mumbai for most of our lives, so we have seen the fields turn into concrete. Keswani Property Consultant is just me and a helper. We spend a lot of time on our mobile phones calling back people. The shopping centre gets very lively on the weekends. Sometimes we stay open late just to finish the paperwork for a sale. It is a lot of checking documents and making sure everything is legal. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we are here every day. People trust us because we don't try to talk them into things they don't want. We just show them what is available in the towers around here and let them decide. We have been in this same spot for over fifteen years now and we know the guards and the other shopkeepers quite well.
