We are based in the old Laxmi Woolen Mills Estate in Mahalaxmi. Our office is on the second floor of the S2 building. It’s an interesting area because it has that old Mumbai industrial feel, especially being on Shakti Mill Lane. We deal with fasteners—things like staples and nails for industrial use. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you aren't familiar with the lane off Dr. Moses Road. We have boxes of fasteners stacked up and it smells like metal and old buildings. We aren't trying to be modern or sleek. It’s a functional space where we handle distribution. We’ve been around for a long time, so we know our way around the different types of tools people use for crating and furniture. The staff here has been with us for years. We just take orders and get them out the door. It’s a busy place with a lot of movement. Sometimes the rain makes the lane a bit difficult, but we keep going. We don’t use fancy words to describe what we do. We just provide the clips and pins that hold things together. It’s a straightforward business in a classic part of the city. There’s a lot of history in these mill buildings. We have high ceilings and big windows, though they are usually covered in a bit of dust. We don't mind. It’s just how the workplace is. We focus on getting the right sizes to the customers. Most of our day is spent checking inventory and making sure the delivery trucks can get through.
