Kamalakar P Kadam

This is my small business located at 8 Chembur Naroda Road. I’ve been working in Chembur for a long time now, and this road is where I spend most of my day. It is a very simple setup. I don't have a big team of people or a fancy office with a receptionist out front. It is mostly just me and a couple of local guys who help me out when there is a lot of work to get through. We deal with whatever comes our way in terms of local service and odd jobs. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, just a regular structure along a busy, noisy street. There is always a lot of sound from the cars and buses passing by, but you eventually get used to it. I keep my tools and my paperwork in the back room and use the front space to meet people if they happen to drop by. I’m not really into all the new digital ways of doing things, so I still write everything down in a thick paper diary. It feels more reliable that way to me. Chembur is a good place to be based, even if it gets a bit crowded during the rainy season. Most of the people living around here are friendly and we try to help each other out when someone is in a fix. I don't really have a big plan, I just want to keep working.
