Kamal Tools Trading Corporation

We have been operating out of our spot at 8 Ghatkopar East Sheetal for a good while now. It’s not a very large place but we manage to keep everything we need tucked away on the shelves. Trading tools in this part of Mumbai means you get used to the noise and the constant movement of people outside on the street. Most days start early with us checking what came in and what needs to go out to the local shops or the guys working on sites nearby. We aren’t big on fancy office stuff so you’ll mostly see us in our work clothes dealing with the crates. The fans stay on all day because it gets quite stuffy in the back room where the heavier stock is kept. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to move things around but we just wait it out. It is a straightforward business where we focus on the items people ask for most. My cousin helps out with the ledger and I handle the floor. We don’t really have a big philosophy or anything like that. We just know where every wrench and hammer is located in the stacks. Sometimes a customer comes in looking for something we haven't seen in years and we have to dig through the old boxes in the corner. It’s dusty work but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. The tea guy comes by at eleven and that’s usually our only real break. Then we get back to the packing and the phone calls until it's time to lock up the gate.
