Trupti Creation is right in the heart of the Mulji Jetha Market in Kalbadevi. Specifically, we’re at No. 613 in Krishna Raj Galli. If you’ve ever been to this market, you know how narrow the lanes are and how many people are carrying big bundles of cloth on their shoulders all day. It’s a place full of energy and constant noise. We fit right into that chaos. Our space is filled with stacks of fabric from the floor all the way to the ceiling. We do creative work with textiles, trying out different patterns and colors for the market. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside, but we’re used to working in tight spaces. We don't have a lot of room for a fancy office, so we mostly work right among the stock. The market is old, and so is our building, but it has a lot of character and history. We deal with traders and shopkeepers who come from all over the country to find fabric. It’s a fast-paced environment and you have to be quick. We don't use much technology besides our mobile phones and an old calculator that has seen better days. We rely on our eyes and our hands to judge the quality of the material. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, based on trust and long-term relationships with the people around us in the galli.
