Kalaviva Art Solutions Llp is over in the Colaba area of Mumbai, which is a place with a lot of history. We are on the 4th floor of the New Building CHS, specifically Flat 9 on Pasta Lane. This neighborhood has a very specific feel to it, with all the old buildings and narrow lanes. Our office reflects that a bit; it’s not a modern glass box. It’s a space where we have our desks pushed together and art supplies or sketches might be lying around on the side tables. The stairs in the building are a bit of a climb, but it’s good for staying active. Being in Colaba, there are always tourists and locals walking around outside, and you can smell the sea air sometimes if the wind is right. We usually arrive in the morning and stay until the evening light starts to fade over the buildings. The office itself is pretty simple. We don't have a big fancy lobby or a receptionist at the front. You just walk in and we're there working. We use a small electric kettle for our tea and usually order snacks from the corner shop if we’re staying late. It is a quiet place for the most part, except for the occasional sound of a car horn from the lane below. We like being in this part of town because it feels like there is more character to the surroundings while we do our daily tasks.
