Our classes are located in Borivali West at Bhau Maharaj Lane, specifically A/102. It’s a bit of a tucked-away spot, but once you find the lane, it’s easy enough. We have been teaching music here at Jyoti Music Classes for quite some time. The room is filled with different instruments, mostly ones that our students use. It’s not a huge space, so it can get a bit loud when everyone is practicing at once. We have some benches for people to sit on while they wait for their turn. The walls have some old posters and some notes we’ve scribbled over the years. It’s a very lived-in space. We don't go for a polished look; we just care about the music. Sometimes the street noise from Borivali drifts in, but we just play louder. We have students of all ages coming in and out throughout the day. The light in the room is okay during the day, but we have some bright bulbs for the evening sessions. We keep our books and sheet music stacked on a couple of shelves. It’s a simple setup. We spend most of our time listening and correcting notes. It’s a bit messy sometimes with instrument cases lying around, but that is just how it goes. We are just a local place where people come to learn a bit of music in their spare time. There is a small tea shop outside where parents wait for their kids. It's a nice little community.
