Joss Catering Services

We run our catering service out of the Engineer Building on Shahid Bhagat Singh Road. We are located at number 286, right in the Fort area of Mumbai. It’s an old building with a lot of character, sitting next to Hitkari House. The kitchen is usually the heart of everything we do. Since we are in Fort, it’s always crowded outside with office workers and tourists. We spend a lot of time prepping ingredients and packing up food for various events. It’s a hot, busy environment, especially when we have big orders going out at lunch. We don’t have a sit-down restaurant here; it’s strictly for the catering side of things. You’ll often see our staff carrying crates or loading up vans on the street. We deal with all sorts of menus, trying to get the flavors right for every client we work with. The building has those high ceilings and thick walls you find in South Mumbai. It’s not a shiny new facility, but it’s where we’ve done our work for a long time. We know the local markets well and get our supplies delivered early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. It’s a lot of physical work, standing on your feet and making sure the containers are sealed tight. We just focus on the food and making sure it gets to the destination on time, despite the unpredictable Mumbai traffic. It's a busy life but we enjoy the work.
