Josephs Kitchen

We spend most of our time here on 29th Road at number 9 in Bandra West. It’s a busy little corner. My uncle started this place a while back because he just liked to feed people. It isn't anything fancy. We have some old chairs and the stove is almost always going. Sometimes the noise from the street gets loud, but we don’t mind it much. We just focus on the food and getting things ready for the lunch rush. People from the neighborhood stop by, mostly regulars who know us by name. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure the ingredients are fresh every morning. Sometimes we run out of things early if it's been a long day. We don't really do advertising or anything like that. People just find us. The kitchen is small, so it gets hot in there during the summer months. We try to keep things organized but it gets messy when we are busy. It’s just how it is. You can see us through the window if you walk past on the way to the station. We’ve been at this address for a good number of years now and haven't seen much reason to change how we do things. It's just a simple spot for food. We open up early to prep and usually stay until the pots are clean. We often stand out front for a breather when it's quiet. That's about it really. Just us and the kitchen.
