Bhagalpur Handloom Fabrics

Our place is located in Jogeshwari East. If you know Mumbai at all, you know how crowded and fast it is around here. Bhagalpur Handloom Fabrics is just a small part of this busy neighborhood. We deal with fabrics every day. There are stacks of cloth everywhere you look. Sometimes it's actually hard to walk between the piles without bumping into something. It smells like cotton and fresh dye in here. We aren't in a big mall or anything fancy. It's just a regular space where we keep our stock. We spend a lot of time sorting through materials and checking the quality. People come by and we show them what we have on the shelves. It’s simple work. We don't have bright lights or a big showroom. Just shelves and wooden tables. The rain in Mumbai makes things interesting because we have to make sure nothing gets damp. We've got a routine down for that now. Most of the time, we’re just busy checking the weave and the colors of the fabric. It’s quiet work mostly, except for the constant noise from the street outside. Jogeshwari East is always moving. We fit right in with the other shops on the block. We aren't trying to be anything special. We just provide handloom fabrics to whoever needs them. It’s a job and we take it as it comes. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit and wait for it to come back. My nephew helps out on weekends.
