Jitendra Pan Benedictine Shop

I’ve been sitting in this little shop on Irla Lane in Andheri East for a long time now. Most people around here know Jitendra Pan Benedictine Shop just as a place to stop for a quick minute while they are heading somewhere else. It is not a big fancy place. We have the usual things on the shelves and the door stays open from early morning until late. The traffic outside is always loud and it gets dusty, but that is just how it is in this part of town. Sometimes it gets crowded when the office crowd finishes their day. I try to keep everything organized, though things end up in different piles by noon. It isn't anything special to look at. You find us near the corner. Mostly it is just me or one of the guys sitting behind the counter. We see the same faces every day. People come in to grab what they need and talk about the weather or how the train was late again. There is no air conditioning or soft music playing. Just the sound of the fans and the street outside. We keep it simple. It is a small space but it fits everything we need to sell. If you are walking down Irla Lane, you will see the sign. It is a bit faded now. We just do our work and go home. That is how we have always done things here in Andheri.
