Janardhan Kalals Dance Academy

Janardhan Kalals Dance Academy is located on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Road in the Umarwada area. We’re right by the Bombay Market and share a bit of space with Bardha New High School. It’s a very lively part of town, always full of people and noise from the market nearby. I spend most of my time at the academy making sure the floors are clean and the music system is working. It’s not a huge, fancy studio, just a place where people can come to move and learn. Being near the school means we have a lot of energy around us all day. I’ve been part of this community for quite a while now. The academy is tucked in there, and sometimes people miss the entrance because of the market bustle, but once you find it, it’s a good spot. I don't really go for big advertisements or polished signs. Most people find out about us just by walking past or hearing the music. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, but we just open the windows and keep going. It’s a simple setup, mostly just mirrors and a flat floor. I handle the schedules myself and talk to the parents when they drop off their kids. It’s a busy life, but I like being right here on Shivaji Maharaj Road. It feels like we are in the middle of everything, which is just fine by me. We are situated near the Nex building area too.
