Jalaram Oil Centre

Over here at Mulund West, specifically on Mangaleshwar Road, you will find Jalaram Oil Centre. We are in Shop No 7 inside Jamuna Sadan on M G Road. It’s a place that smells like different kinds of oils all the time. It’s not a quiet office; it’s a working shop where we handle heavy tins and containers every single day. The floor sometimes gets a bit slippery if we aren’t careful, so we spend a lot of time cleaning up spills. We’ve been in this building for quite a bit. People from the nearby apartments come in with their empty bottles or just to buy what they need for their kitchens. It’s a lot of lifting and moving stuff around from the back to the front. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon and it gets pretty warm inside. We have a small desk where we keep the books and the cash, but mostly we are on our feet. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road and it gets a bit chaotic outside with the horns honking. We just focus on getting the right oil weighed out for whoever is waiting. It is a straightforward business without any bells or whistles. We know most of our regulars by name now because they’ve been coming to Jamuna Sadan for years. It’s just how things are run around here on M G Road.
