Up on the fourth floor of the Relia building in Andheri West, you'll find Jain Estate Agencies. We’re in office number 412, right behind the Oshiwara Police Station. Being near the police station is actually quite helpful because everyone knows where it is. Andheri is a fast place, always something happening, always someone looking for a flat or an office. We spend most of our day on the phone or running down to show people different properties. The elevator in this building is usually busy, so we end up taking the stairs more than we’d like. Our office is a bit small, but it’s packed with files on almost every building in the Oshiwara area. We’ve been doing this long enough to know which landlords are easy to deal with and which ones are a bit difficult. We don't use any fancy sales talk. If a place is small, we say it’s small. If it’s noisy because of the traffic, we tell you that too. It’s better to be honest so people know what they’re getting into. We see a lot of young people moving here for work, and they’re often a bit lost with how expensive things are. We try to find them something that fits their budget without being a total wreck. It’s a tough city, but we like helping people find their own little corner of it. It keeps us on our toes.
