If you’re looking for us, we’re at Shop No 6 in the Boolani Estate Building. We’re in Andheri West, which is always a bit of a chaotic place to be. We’re right opposite Citi Mall, so there’s always a crowd outside and plenty of cars trying to park. The shop isn't very big, but it’s enough space for a couple of desks and some chairs for visitors. I usually spend my time looking through listings or answering the phone. Being across from the mall is good because people use it as a landmark. I often see people coming out of the mall with shopping bags and then they notice our office. It’s a lot of running around in Andheri, showing apartments and checking on documents. The humidity can be tough, but that’s just Mumbai for you. I’ve got a small fan that runs all day to keep things cool inside. We handle a lot of local rentals and sales around this part of town. It’s not fancy work, but it’s steady. I like being in the middle of everything, even if the noise never really stops. Sometimes the neighbors from other shops come in for a chat. We just do our thing here at J P Estate Agency and try to stay on top of the local market. It’s a busy life, but it keeps me on my toes while we handle the daily paperwork.
