Ishwar Trading

Ishwar Trading has its office at 129, Esplanade Mansion, over at 144, M.G. Road in the Fort area. This building is one of those old ones with a lot of character, though it shows its age in places. Being in Fort means we are right in the middle of all the Mumbai chaos. Our office, room 129, is packed with files, old ledgers, and samples of whatever we are trading at the moment. It’s not a large space, but it has high ceilings and a certain feel to it that you don't get in those new glass buildings. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just talking to other traders who drop in for a cup of tea. Trading is mostly about knowing people and being around for a long time, which we have been. We don’t have a marketing department or a polished brand image. We are just Ishwar Trading, and people know where to find us. The stairs up to the mansion can be a bit of a climb, and the hallways are always full of activity. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming with the noise from M.G. Road coming through the windows, but you get used to it. We just focus on our daily buys and sells and making sure the paperwork is in order. It’s a straightforward business built on being here every day and doing what we say we will do. No more, no less.
