Intimate Enterprises

So we are tucked away here at number 2, Sarju Cottage in the Latif Compound. It is one of those places that is a bit tricky to find if you aren’t looking closely, but we’ve been here at Intimate Enterprises for quite some time now. Most mornings start with the sound of the gates opening and someone complaining about the humid air. The office isn't anything fancy, just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of paperwork piled up on the side. We usually get our tea from the stall just down the road. You can hear the city noise from outside, but inside we just focus on getting the day's work done. Sometimes the electricity acts up, but we just deal with it and keep moving. It's a small team, so everyone knows what the other is doing. We don’t really do big meetings or anything like that. We just talk across the room. Latif Compound has a lot of history to it, and you can see it in the walls and the old floor tiles. It gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up, but it feels like home to us. We’ve got our routine down pretty well. Someone brings snacks in the afternoon, and we take a quick break before finishing the last few tasks of the day. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s ours. We handle everything right here from this little spot in the cottage. Sometimes the monsoon rain leaks through the front door, but we just put a bucket down.
