International Packaging

Working at International Packaging means spending a lot of time around piles of cardboard and rolls of heavy tape. Our warehouse is located at Cb-229, right on the Ring Road in Naraina. If you know this area, you know how hectic it gets with the trucks and the dust from the road. Inside, it’s a bit more organized, but not by much when we have a big shipment going out. We spend most of our mornings just moving things around and making sure we have enough supplies for the day. There is always the sound of packing machines running in the background. It’s not a quiet place at all. We don't have fancy furniture or a nice lobby. It's just a workspace with concrete floors and high ceilings. Most of us wear old shirts because you’re bound to get some ink or glue on you by noon. Lunch is usually something we eat quickly at our desks or out by the side of the building. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but the traffic on the Ring Road stays the same. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit around and wait, which is a nice break I guess. We aren't trying to be anything big. We just do the packing work that needs to be done. By five or six, we start cleaning up the scraps from the floor and locking the doors before heading home to rest.
