Our office for Intermarket India Pvt.Ltd. is on the fourth floor, room 406, in the Western Edge 1 Building. We are right by the Express Highway in Borivali East. You can see the cars zooming by from our windows all day. It’s a modern building, but our office feels pretty lived-in. We have desks pushed together and a lot of paper stacks that never seem to go away. We spend most of the day on the computer or the phone, talking to people and coordinating things. It’s not like a factory; it’s more about managing information and making sure things get from one place to another. We have a small pantry where the kettle is always on. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow, so we end up waiting in the lobby and talking to the security guards. Borivali East is a busy area, and being near the highway makes it easy to get around, even if the noise is always there. We don't have a big staff, so we all know each other’s business and help out when someone is swamped. It’s a regular office job with its own set of daily frustrations and small wins. We just focus on getting through the tasks on our lists before the sun goes down and the traffic gets even worse. There is a small plant on the windowsill that somehow survives even though we forget to water it.
