You can find us at Bhupen Chambers on Dalal Street. Being in Fort means everything feels a bit old and crowded. The building at number 36 has these high ceilings and those old-style windows that let in a bit of a breeze if the wind is right. We have been trading here for a long time. Dalal Street is famous but for us it is just where we go to work every morning. The stairs are a bit steep so we try not to forget anything in the car. It is a busy place with people always rushing around with papers in their hands. We have a couple of desks and a lot of old files. Trading can be a bit of a gamble sometimes but we just keep at it. The tea man knows exactly how we like our drinks. We don't bother with much marketing or trying to look bigger than we are. We just handle the business that comes our way through the door or over the phone. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk until it comes back. It is a small team and we all know each other's families by now. The office is a bit messy with books and samples but it feels comfortable. It is a long way from the modern glass buildings you see elsewhere but we like the history of the Fort area. We have been here for years.
