Indira Shah

This is Indira Shah. My spot is located at number 20 in the Masalawala Colony, right on Bhikshuk Road. If you are looking for it, it’s quite near the Telephone Exchange, which is the big landmark everyone uses to find their way around here. Masalawala Colony is a lively place to be. There is always something going on outside on the street, like vendors selling fruit or children playing. I have been here at this address for quite some time now. The building isn’t brand new, and the paint is peeling a little, but it serves its purpose well. I spend my days managing things from my room here. It gets a bit noisy during the middle of the day when the traffic on Bhikshuk Road is at its peak, but you get used to the horns after a week or two. I like being close to the exchange because it makes it very easy to tell people where to go when they are coming to visit. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat or share some news about what’s happening in the colony. It’s a tight-knit community and we look out for one another. I try to keep my workspace tidy, though it usually ends up with stacks of paper everywhere by the time the week ends. It’s just how I work. There isn't any big sign or anything, just the door at number 20. I’ve lived in this city for years and this corner of it feels like home to me now.
