India Gem Corporation

We spend most of our time here at India Gem Corporation up on the 3rd floor of Krishna Niwas. It is an old building in the Fanaswadi area, and honestly, the stairs can be a bit much some days when we are carrying things back and forth. Being at No. 19 2Nd Fanaswadi means we are right in the middle of all the noise and activity that happens in this part of town. Sometimes it gets so crowded downstairs that just getting to the front door is a chore. We’ve been here quite a while now. The space inside isn't huge, but it fits what we need to do. Usually, the day starts with opening up the shutters and letting some air in, though with all the traffic outside, it is never really quiet. We deal with various stones and work that keeps us busy from morning until the evening light starts to fade. Our neighbors in the building are mostly doing similar things, so we see the same faces every day in the hallways. It’s not a fancy place by any means. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the desk is cluttered with papers and small tools we use. But it is our spot. We know where everything is kept, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. It is just the way we work here in this little corner of Krishna Niwas.
