Our little place is tucked away in the Dattakrupa Society, specifically unit 44 in Sector 4. We are in Kandivali West, near 31st Cross and 10th A Main. It is a bit of a maze to find us if you do not know the area well, but we have been here for a while. We deal with clothes and fashion stuff. It is not a big runway show here. It is more about fabrics, stitching, and getting samples ready. There are always rolls of cloth leaning against the walls and bits of thread everywhere. We work with different tailors and suppliers to get things made. The space is pretty cramped because we have so many samples and patterns lying around. It is a busy environment and it can get quite loud with the sewing machines going in the back room. We are not a big brand with a shop in a mall. We are just a small outfit making sure the garments look right before they go out. Sometimes we stay quite late when a shipment needs to be finished. It is just how it is in this business. The neighborhood is mostly residential with some small businesses like ours mixed in. We know our neighbors and we have been part of this community for years. It is just a regular workplace where we try to get the designs turned into actual clothes. It is messy and fast-paced, but we like it.
