Our office is tucked away in the Tradeview building, which is part of the massive Kamala City complex in Lower Parel. The specific unit number is 41427. If you know Mumbai, you know that P B Marg is a very crowded place to be, especially during the morning rush when everyone is trying to get to work. The Oasis Complex is a huge landmark here, and we are right in the middle of all that action. It is a professional space, but it definitely feels like a busy insurance office with stacks of files and the constant sound of people talking on their phones. We deal with life insurance, so there is always a lot of paperwork to go through and digital records to update. The elevators in this building can take a long time during the lunch break, so we usually just stay at our desks or head out early. The view from the windows is mostly just other tall glass buildings and the flyover in the distance. It is a bit corporate because of the location, but our actual day-to-day is just regular office work. We don't have a lot of decorations on the walls, just the stuff we need to get through the day. The air conditioning is always running because it gets so hot outside with all the concrete. It is a steady environment where we just keep our heads down and manage the policies and claims that come our way through the mail and the computer system.
