Huma Caterers

We have been at 14 Kambekar Street for a while now. It is right in the footwear market area, just opposite the Diamond Jubilee School. The area is always crowded and noisy, but that is how it is here in Masjid. My family started Huma Caterers because we liked cooking for the people in the neighborhood. We don't have a big office or anything fancy. It is just a kitchen where we spend most of our day. We do weddings and small parties mostly. When there is an event at the school across the street, we sometimes help out with that too. It gets very busy on weekends. We wake up early to get the fresh meat and vegetables from the local market. Dealing with suppliers is a big part of the job. Sometimes the stove breaks or the delivery guy is late, but we manage somehow. We aren't trying to be some big corporate company. We just want to make sure the food is ready on time and people get what they paid for. Most of our customers are from around here or found us by walking past the shop. It is a simple life but we like the work we do. You can usually find one of us hanging around the shop if you need to talk about an order. We just keep things moving and focus on the food.
