Hoy Fruit

Hoy Fruit is located at 18 Lal Chawl in Worli Naka. We are right on Dr. E Moses Road, not too far from the Konark Towers. It’s a very busy part of Worli. We handle fruit every single day, starting very early when the sun isn't even up yet. It’s a lot of unloading crates and checking to see if the fruit is good. We aren't a high-end boutique or a fancy supermarket. We’re a working fruit business in a chawl. It’s crowded and fast-paced. We deal with what the season gives us. Sometimes the mangoes are great, sometimes the apples are better, and we just sell what we have. We just take it as it comes. The area around Worli Naka is always moving, and we are part of that rhythm. We don't have a marketing department or a mission statement. We just want to move our stock and keep things as fresh as possible for the people who buy from us. It’s a lot of physical labor, carrying heavy boxes and setting up displays on the sidewalk. The air smells like citrus and earth and exhaust from the road. We’ve been here for a while and the locals know us by sight. We aren't trying to be fancy. Just Hoy Fruit, doing our work on Dr. E Moses Road. It’s a simple life, focused on the market and the produce we get each morning. If you pass by Lal Chawl, you’ll see us there, probably surrounded by empty crates.
