Hitech Design Studio

You can find us over in Sion, specifically at 8th C Main in Jacksandra Block. We’re in unit 106 D 4. It’s a bit hard to find if you aren't looking for the sign, which is kind of small. The studio is mostly filled with drawing boards and computers that have those giant monitors that take up the whole desk. We do a lot of design work, mostly for buildings and interiors. It’s a lot of measuring and sketching. Sometimes we spend hours just arguing over a shade of grey or which handle looks right on a door. It sounds silly, but that’s just how it is here. The space is a bit cluttered with samples of wood, tile, and fabric swatches everywhere. You have to watch your step so you don't trip over a roll of paper or a box of tiles. It’s not a corporate office at all. We play music most of the day to keep the energy up. When we have a deadline, the lights stay on pretty late and we drink too much coffee. We don't have a receptionist, so usually, whoever is closest to the door lets people in. We aren't trying to be the most famous designers out there. We just like making things that look decent and work for the people living in them. It’s a lot of back and forth with clients who can’t decide what they want. We just keep drawing until they’re happy. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. The neighborhood is okay, plenty of places to get a quick snack.
