Hira Mistan Snacks Bar

Hira Mistan Snacks Bar is located in Kalbadevi, at Naroda Building No 186 on Kalbadevi Road. If you know this road, you know it is one of the busiest places in Mumbai. There is constant noise from the carts and the people walking by. Our shop is always warm because the stoves are running from early morning until late at night. We make all sorts of snacks and sweets right here. You can smell the ghee and the spices from down the street. It’s a small space, and during the lunch rush, it gets very crowded. People are standing shoulder to shoulder, trying to get their snacks. We don’t have fancy tables or waiters. You just come to the counter, get what you want, and find a spot to stand. The floor gets a bit sticky with all the sugar syrup and food, so we have to wash it down a lot. We’ve been in the Naroda building for many years, and we’ve seen the street change quite a bit. But people still want their morning snacks and their evening tea. We work hard to keep the taste the same as it has always been. It’s a lot of sweating over hot pans, but when people enjoy the food, it feels worth it. We just keep serving the neighborhood as best as we can.
