Hetushma Handlooms

Hetushma Handlooms is located in the Hindtej Building, specifically at number 76 on D. S. P. Road in Dadar East. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy this area gets, especially with the trains nearby. Our space is on the first floor, so you have to head up the stairs. The building is one of those older ones that has seen a lot of history. Inside, we have stacks of cloth piled high on wooden racks. It’s a bit cramped because we try to fit as much as possible into the rooms we have. The light comes in through the tall windows, but we still use some old tube lights to see the details of the fabrics. We don’t have a website with fancy photos or a marketing team. It’s just us handling the orders and making sure everything is where it should be. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we have to shout a bit to be heard, but that’s just life in Dadar. We’ve got a small desk near the entrance where we keep the ledger and the phone. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it has worked for us for years. We know most of the other shopkeepers in the building, and we often share a cup of tea in the afternoons.
