Harsha S Designer Studio

Harsha S Designer Studio is located over in Bandra West, right along the New Link Road near Behram Baug 3. It’s a busy area and there is always something going on outside our doors. We spend most of our time sketching things out or looking at different fabrics and patterns that come in. The studio isn't huge, but it fits everything we need like the cutting tables and the racks. People stop by frequently just to see what we are working on at the moment. It gets pretty hectic during the wedding season or when there's a big festival coming up. We try to keep things organized, but honestly, there are threads and scraps of paper everywhere most days. That’s just the nature of design work, I guess. I’ve been in this spot for a while and the locals know the name. We don't really do much advertising; word of mouth seems to do the trick around here. The lighting in the studio is okay during the day, but we had to add some extra lamps for when we stay late to finish a project. It’s a lot of manual work, sitting at the machine or hand-sewing details. My assistant helps me keep track of the orders so we don't fall behind. We just take it one day at a time and try to make stuff that people actually want to wear. It's a lot of hours but I like it.
