Hanan Jafry

We are located at 9 G.I.D.C., right near Trikampura Chokdi. Being in an industrial area like Vatva means it’s always loud and there’s always something moving around. It’s not the cleanest part of town, but it’s where the real work happens. We have a lot of space here, which is good because we need it for all the equipment and materials we use. Hanan Jafry isn’t a name you’ll see on big billboards or in the newspapers. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done. The office part of the building is small and mostly filled with ledgers and old receipts that we should probably organize better. Most of the time, I’m out on the floor rather than sitting at a desk anyway. Andheri is quite a distance for some, but for us, this is just where we go every morning. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually end up talking about the day's problems. It’s a tough environment sometimes, especially when it gets really hot in the summer and the metal roof traps all the heat. But we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don’t have a fancy reception area or people in suits. It’s just us in our work clothes, making sure the orders are ready on time. We take things as they come and try not to overcomplicate the process.
