Hajra Fashion

You can find Hajra Fashion over in Jogeshwari East. We are in Building 2, Room A 3, right in Vaishali Nagar along the Mahakali Caves Road. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs if you aren't used to it, especially when it’s humid outside. Our space is filled with fabrics and thread and some old machines. It’s not a fancy boutique like the ones you see in the big malls. It’s a working shop where we actually make things with our own hands. There’s usually fabric scraps on the floor and the sound of sewing machines going for most of the day. We’ve been in this building for a good bit now, so we know all the quirks of the place. People from around the neighborhood know to come here when they need something specific made or fixed. We don't have a big window to display our work, so you really have to know where to look to find us. It’s a bit crowded inside, especially when we have a lot of orders to finish. We don't use much fancy equipment, just the stuff that has proven it works over time. The lighting isn't the best in the corners, but we know where everything is. Sometimes the neighbors pop in just to chat while we work. We don't mind the company at all. It keeps the day from feeling too long. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the needles and the cloth. If you need something, you just come to the door and knock. That’s how it works here.
