Guru The Real Taste

You can find us over at Ghoga Street 10. It’s a narrow street, but it has a lot of character if you walk down it slowly. Guru The Real Taste is just a small spot where we cook what we know. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us making sure the pots are full and the customers are fed. The street can get pretty packed with people walking and bikes squeezing through, especially during the middle of the day. We have a couple of small tables, but a lot of people just take their food to go. We’ve been here long enough that we know the neighbors well. The smell of our cooking usually drifts out onto the sidewalk, which helps people find us since we don't have a massive sign. It’s a simple setup with a basic kitchen and a counter. We buy our ingredients fresh every morning from the local market nearby. Sometimes we run out of certain things by late afternoon if it’s been a busy day. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It’s just honest food for people who work around Ghoga Street or live in the nearby buildings. We start our prep work when it’s still dark out so everything is ready by the time the first people start walking to work. It is a lot of work, but we like being part of this street.
