Our small office is located over in Thirupalya, which is part of the Anekal Taluk area. It’s quite a bit of a drive from the main city center of Mumbai, but it’s where we do all our daily work. Dealing with land and houses in this specific area keeps us on our feet from morning until night. We spend a lot of our time out in the sun looking at different plots or meeting with families who want to sell their old family places. It definitely isn't a glamorous job by any means. There’s a lot of dust on the roads and a lot of driving around the outskirts of Mumbai. We started this whole thing because we knew the local people here and understood how the land was changing over time. Most of our days involve making a lot of phone calls and checking various documents at the local government offices. It can be very slow work sometimes, especially when the paperwork gets backed up. We don't have a huge team of hundreds of agents, just a few of us who know the local roads and the families living on them. People often stop by just to ask about current prices or to see what’s new in the neighborhood. We try to be straight with them about what we know. Things change fast around here, so we have to stay updated on which plot belongs to who. It’s just honest work in a growing part of the region.
