Our place is on the ground floor of Shalom Apartments over in I.C. Colony. Being in Borivli, it’s a busy area, but our little corner stays relatively calm compared to the main roads. It used to be a regular residential spot, but we’ve turned it into our workspace. You’ll see a lot of people walking their dogs or kids playing outside while we’re inside dealing with all the worldwide shipping stuff. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have a lot of files piling up on the desks. We don’t have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. When you walk in, you’re pretty much right in the middle of where everything happens. We spend most of the morning answering emails and talking to people from different time zones. Sometimes the internet acts up when it rains, but we manage to get things through eventually. The kitchen area is where we usually take our breaks and have some tea while talking about what’s left on the schedule. It feels more like a home than an office sometimes because of the building it’s in. We like it that way because it’s not so stiff and formal. We just do our work, pack what needs packing, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s a simple setup that works for us and has kept us going for years in this neighborhood.
