We’ve been sitting here in Shop No 10 at Kanji Manji Estate for quite a while now. Ghatkopar West is always crowded, especially near the Home Guard area where we are. Dealing with property stuff isn't always easy because there's so much paperwork and people always have a lot of questions about where to move or how much a place is really worth. We just handle the day-to-day things that come up when someone wants a new flat or needs to sell an old one. It gets pretty loud outside with all the traffic near Lalbaug, but we stay busy inside. Usually, the morning starts with a lot of phone calls and checking listings that came in overnight. It’s not fancy work, mostly just talking to people and trying to figure out what fits their budget. Sometimes a deal goes through fast, other times it takes months of waiting and back-and-forth. We see all kinds of folks walking in, some just curious and some really needing a place to stay by next week. It’s a lot of walking around the neighborhood too, showing rooms and checking out the condition of walls or plumbing. We don’t have a huge team, just a few of us here making sure the documents are right and the keys are where they should be. It’s just how things go in a place like this, keeping it simple and getting through the pile of work on the desk every single day.
