We have our small office at Shop No 2, Nathu Seth Wadi, right there on L J Road in Mahim. If you are near the Bank of Maharashtra, we are just a short walk away, close to where Turner Road starts. It is a busy part of town with a lot of people moving in and out every month, so there is always someone looking for a room or a small shop to rent. We deal with all sorts of properties, mostly around the Mahim and local blocks. It’s a lot of walking around and showing people flats that might be too small or too expensive for them until we finally find something that fits their budget. We don't use those big property apps much; we prefer talking to the landlords directly because we’ve known many of them for years and they trust us. The office is usually cluttered with old files, property papers, and maps of the local area. Sometimes the tea stall guy next door brings us a cutting and we sit and talk about how much the rents have gone up lately in this city. It is a straightforward business where we just try to match a person with a roof over their head. We don't wear suits or have fancy presentations for clients. We just know which buildings have water problems and which ones are quiet at night. It is a lot of paperwork and running around, but it keeps us busy until the shops shut down.
