Godavari Biorefineries Ltd.

People know us as Godavari Biorefineries Ltd. and we have been based at Somaiya Bhavan, 45-47 for quite a while now. It is a busy spot and we spend our days dealing with sugar cane and turning it into various things like ethanol and chemicals. It is a messy job sometimes but it keeps the place running. We have a lot of people coming in and out of the building every day. The office here at Somaiya Bhavan is where the paperwork gets handled, though most of the real action happens out at the mills. We try to use every part of the cane so nothing goes to waste. Sometimes the machines act up or the weather makes things difficult, but that is just how it goes in this line of work. It is not always pretty, but we have a steady routine. We have been working with farmers for a long time. They bring the crops and we figure out how to process it all. Our desks are usually piled with files and the phones ring more than we’d like. It gets loud and a bit chaotic during the crushing season. We just focus on getting the product out to where it needs to go. There is always something to fix or a shipment to track. We stay busy and mostly just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing here in the city.
