Vardhaman Glass Saffire

We have been set up at Irani Chawl for quite a long time now. The shop is right on M. G. Road, basically directly across from where the old post office is in Ghatkopar West. Our sign says Vardhaman Glass Saffire, and we are at shop number eight. Most of our days are spent just dealing with different types of glass. People wander in from the neighborhood looking for stuff for their homes, or sometimes a kid has broken a window and it needs a quick fix. It gets pretty crowded on this part of the street, especially with the post office right there, but we manage to get our work done. We aren't a big flashy showroom with fancy lights or anything. It is just a regular place where we work with glass and mirrors all day. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, but that is just how it is around here. We have a couple of guys who really know how to cut things to the right size without wasting material. If you walk past the post office, you will definitely see us. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. Mostly people just find us because they live nearby or someone they know told them we were here. We try to keep things simple. If you need a piece of glass, we check the back to see what is in stock. Sometimes things take a bit longer if we are busy, but we finish it. It’s just how we make a living.
