Gayatri Silk Art

We spend a whole lot of our time here at 23 B in Andheri East. It is a very busy part of the city, and the noise from the street usually finds its way inside our walls. Gayatri Silk Art has been around this neighborhood for a good bit now. We deal with silk and different kinds of fabrics every single day. Sometimes the colors are so bright they almost hurt your eyes after a few hours of looking at them, but you eventually get used to it. The space we have is not huge, but we make it work by stacking things up to the ceiling whenever we run out of floor space. Working with silk can be tricky because the material slides around a lot on the tables. You have to be real careful with your hands and the tools you use. People come in looking for specific things for their own projects. We just show them whatever we have sitting on the shelves at 23 B. It involves a lot of folding and unfolding throughout the day. By the time we close up, my back usually aches from leaning over the displays. Andheri East is always moving, so there is never a dull moment right outside our door. We do not have any fancy brochures or a big team for marketing. It is just us doing what we know how to do with the silk materials we have.
