Our shop is at number 9, Radha Niwas, which is right on Gokhale Road near Hanuman Chowk in Mulund East. It’s a central spot in the neighborhood, so there is always a lot of activity right outside our door. We’ve been doing catering from this location for quite a few years now. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll usually see the same faces every time you come by. The kitchen is where we spend most of our time, getting the spices ready and making sure the vegetables are fresh for the day. It gets pretty loud and busy when there’s a big event coming up. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person; we just rely on people telling their friends about the food we make for weddings or small parties. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped when we have all the crates stacked up, but we make it work. Most of our neighbors know us by name, and we like it that way. It’s a simple life of cooking and delivering food around Mulund and the nearby areas. We aren't trying to be the biggest catering company out there, just want to do a decent job for the people who trust us with their meals. The mornings are usually spent at the market picking out stuff, and the rest of the day is for the cooking and cleaning. It is a long day but we are used to it.
