Food At Corner

It’s a simple name because that’s exactly where we are, right on a corner in Ghatkopar East. We’ve been operating here for a while, just serving food to whoever happens to be passing by in this part of Ghatkopar. The area is always bustling, and being on the corner means we see everyone. It’s not a very large place, just enough room to get the cooking done and serve the customers who stop at the window or step inside. Our daily routine is pretty much the same every day. We get here, unload the supplies, and start the stove. The kitchen gets hot pretty quickly, so we leave the door open to get a bit of a breeze from the street. We don't have any fancy menus or glossy pictures on the walls. It’s just plain English and local talk here. Sometimes we run out of things if the market was short on certain vegetables, and we just tell the customers how it is. Most of them are from around here and they understand. We spend a lot of time just sweeping the floor and making sure the trash is taken out. It's a lot of physical work, and by the end of the day, our backs are usually aching. But we come back the next morning and do it all over again. That's just how running a small place in Ghatkopar East goes. We don't make a big fuss about things, we just keep the food coming.
