Ficci

We've been here at Hall No 5 for a while now. The Bombay Exhibition Centre is always busy, so there is usually a lot of noise and people moving things around. We basically spend our days setting things up and making sure everything is where it needs to be before the doors open. It's not a fancy office or anything like that. It’s mostly just a big space with a lot of boxes and equipment. People come and go constantly. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming when three events are happening at once, but we just keep our heads down and do the work. We've got a small team here. Most of us have been around for a few years, so we know how the building works and where all the plugs are. It’s mostly just about staying organized and dealing with whatever comes up on the day. Sometimes the air conditioning is too cold and sometimes it doesn’t work at all, but that’s just how it goes in a place this big. We keep a stash of tea and some biscuits in the back corner for when things get really hectic. It’s a job like any other, really. We just show up, handle the logistics, and make sure things don't fall apart. It's dusty and loud, but we've gotten used to it. We don't really do much outside of this hall. It's our home base and it keeps us occupied enough.
