Falafel King

You can find us at Shop Number 11 in the Bhanu Jyoti Building. It is right there in Matunga East, near the Dongri side. It is a small shop, nothing too flashy or modern. We have been here for a good while now, just making falafel and the usual sides that go with it. It is a busy area with people always walking past on their way to work or the station. We spend most of our day prepping chickpeas and frying things up in the back. The smell of oil and spices is just part of the shop walls now. It gets really crowded during the lunch hour, and we have to move fast to keep everyone happy. It is just a few of us working behind the counter. We do not have a lot of seating, so people mostly grab their food in a bag and go. The Bhanu Jyoti Building has been around for ages. We know the other shop owners around here, like the guy selling clothes next door. It is a good community. Sometimes the delivery bikes pile up outside on the pavement, and it gets a bit messy. We just try to keep the line moving. It is simple food, really, with nothing complicated about the recipes. We do the same thing every day and try to keep the quality the same. It is hard work being on your feet for ten hours, but that is the business we chose. We are just local people.
