Fah Creation

We are over in Powai at the Hiranandani Gardens. Specifically we are in Eden III in apartment C/504. It is a nice residential area so it is much quieter than other parts of Mumbai. We use one of the rooms as our main workspace for Fah Creation. It is mostly me and my sister doing everything from the designing to the final packing. We have rolls of silk and cotton stacked up against the walls. The kitchen table often becomes a place to sketch out new ideas over breakfast. It is a very home-based setup which means we are always working even on weekends. Sometimes we go down to the local park just to get some fresh air because staying inside C/504 all day can be a bit much. We don't have a storefront so people usually call us before they come over. It is a very personal way of doing things. We know exactly who made every single piece that leaves this room. The security guards at the gate of Eden III know our delivery guys by sight now because they come so often. It is a small business but it is ours and we like being in control of every little detail. We don't want to move to a big factory because we like the comfort of being at home while we work and create new things.
